One of our favorite meals in our household is Greek Turkey Balls with this amazing Greek Yogurt Sauce and Lemon Garlic Orzo. Soon, I’ll share the other two recipes from this mouth-watering meal. Today I’m sharing my recipe for this delicious and super easy yogurt sauce. This sauce would be great as a dip also. Dunk in your favorite veggies or chips and enjoy!
You’ll notice the recipe calls for prepared minced garlic. I know some people don’t care much for jarred garlic, but I love it. It is a bit milder than fresh garlic which also love. If I’m looking to minimize the heat from fresh garlic, I will always reach for the jarred. They say 1/2 teaspoon of jarred minced garlic is equivalent to 1 clove of fresh garlic but in this recipe go ahead and stick to just 1 clove instead of the converted 2 to avoid the flavor from becoming too overpowering. I get my jarred garlic from Costco.
Alright so don’t judge me but I’m OCD and have to measure everything. Yes, I own a digital food scale and use it regularly. It just makes life so much easier. To be honest, I invested in one of these during my calorie counting days, but I love it. I use it when I pack my meats and poultry for the freezer. When I get the genius idea to attempt to diet yet again and while cooking and baking. It’s well-loved in our household. I also have one in my office to weigh packages. I said don’t judge me lol! This one is under $15 so why not.
I’ll probably include measuring spoons and cups in every post because well… please refer to the previous paragraph. 😉 Like I’ve mentioned in previous posts I love the colored ones because it makes them easier to spot in my kitchen drawers.
I own these exact food storage containers and love them. The lids stack on top of each other perfectly and make for easy storage, they’re sturdy with a tight seal, and the size variety is excellent in this set. The half cup size is perfect for salad dressing. I usually make a big batch of this yogurt sauce and store it in the fridge in one of these containers. If you don’t own a good set of food storage containers, these are fantastic.
Combine all ingredients
Stir everything together
Serve immediately or if time permits refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to come together
