Hello! Hello! Several weeks ago, I shared my go-to way on how I remove my makeup on Instagram stories and asked if my followers would like to see my skincare routine, and so here we are. Those stories are saved under my Instagram highlighted story called skincare if you’d like to check it out.
I will list the products in the order I use them in. There will be a short description, claims, my thoughts, and whether I use the product in the morning, night, or both. Please note that descriptions and claims are from either retailer websites such as Sephora, Ulta, Target and Nordstrom or brand websites. We’ve quite a bit to cover so let’s get started.
Cleanser
Indie Lee Purifying Face Wash
Description: This is a clean beauty product. A gentle yet thorough face wash that removes makeup and impurities with its antioxidant-rich, foaming formula. Ideal for all skin types, especially those with normal and combination skin.
Claims: Java plum, orange, and lavender extracts soothe the skin while dissolving excess sebum. Clove, burdock, and mandarin promote a clearer, brighter complexion. Rose damascena and jasmine ensure skin feels soft and supple, never tight.
My Thoughts: I’ve been really enjoying this product. I use one pump and could probably even go with using only half a pump. It foams up nicely, cleans well, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry.

Toner
Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic
Description: The Pixi Glow Tonic is highly concentrated, invigorating facial toner that deeply cleans pores by sweeping away excess oil and impurities.
Claims: Gently accelerates cell renewal to reveal a brighter, glowing complexion. Skin tone is clearer, texture is smoother and more even. Refines the appearance of pores & soothes for radiant, healthier-looking skin.
My Thoughts: This product is currently holding holy grail status. My skin looks brighter and feels smoother. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry and has a lovely scent. Glow Tonic is hands down my favorite Pixi product at the moment.
Use: Morning and Night
Serum
Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum
Description: A 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHAs serum with pure ingredients and gentle strength. Oil-free. Fragrance-free. Ideal for all skin types. Claims: This clean, kind-to-skin formula with two types of vitamin C and stabilized by antioxidant-rich Japanese beautyberry helps reveal a translucent, youthful glow. Mild fruit AHAs resurface dull, uneven skin, while Japanese angelica root helps to reduce the look of dark spots, discoloration, and post-acne scarring. My Thoughts: Give me all the brightening skincare products! This product is pretty pricey, but I purchased it back in April and used only one pump daily, and there is still some left. A little bit goes a long way. It is very gentle. I haven’t had any problems such as excessive oiliness, dryness, or breakouts. What I like about this product over other vitamin c serums is it doesn’t smell horrendous, and it doesn’t feel sticky. Use: Morning
Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
Description: An AHA/BHA night serum that refines and resurfaces skin to reveal a smoother and more radiant complexion. T.L.C. Framboos™ enhances the performance of other products by clearing the way for maximum absorption.
Claims: This high-tech gel resurfaces dull skin, gently lifting dead skin cells away by dissolving the glue that holds them to the surface. Formulated with a dream team AHA/BHA blend of glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric and salicylic acids, and blended with raspberry extract, T.L.C. Framboos™ sinks in easily and delivers an effective level of chemical exfoliation without the harsh side effects like dryness or sensitization. Fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration, along with excess oiliness and the appearance of pores, will appear dramatically diminished. Horse chestnut, bearberry and white tea help to calm and soothe while improving the appearance of broken capillaries. Go from a drab complexion to an absolutely luminous one, practically overnight.
My Thoughts: To keep it real, I’m notoriously awful about my nighttime skincare routine. I haven’t used this product enough to give a proper review. However, I did use it last night, and my skin felt like a babies bottom this morning. I started with a sample and decided to purchase the full size.

Lip Care
GlamGlow PoutMud
Description and Claims: Sexy hydrated lips! A moisture-rich lip balm treatment designed to create Instantly Softer, Hydrated, & Restored Lips. My Thoughts: This product is ok. I don’t hate it, but I also am not in love with it. I’m using it to finish it, just keeping it real here. It does the job and moisturizes my lips, but there is no wow factor, and I haven’t noticed any dramatic changes in my lips.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
Description: A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight.

My Thoughts: Now this product I’m obsessed with! I love how it smells and how it feels on my lips. My lips are super soft and supple in the morning! I highly recommend this product. A little bit goes a long way. I can’t wait to finish this tub so I can get the new apple lime scent. They also have a vanilla scent.

Eye Cream
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
Description: A moisturizing eye treatment formulated with avocado oil.
Claims: This luxurious eye cream gently moisturizes the eye area without migrating into the eyes. Perfect for use under eye makeup, it contains highly effective natural ingredients that provide essential daily hydration and protection. The eye area is left softer, suppler, and more youthful-looking.
My Thoughts: This product plays well with eye makeup and is super hydrating. It’s creamy but doesn’t feel greasy. The consistency is pretty thick, so a little bit goes a long way. I’m convinced this product is doing a little something-something for my lashes too. Don’t quote me on this but I think my lashes look fuller, are a bit longer, and overall feel thicker and stronger or I’m delusional who knows haha! Moisturizer

My Thoughts: This product does a great job hydrating my skin and does not feel greasy or clog my pores. It has a lovely light and fresh scent. It also has an almost cooling effect when you apply it. A little bit goes a long way for this product as well.

Laneige Lavender Water Sleeping Mask

My Thoughts: As soon as I finished a tub of the one in the blue packaging I decided to try this scent. I love this stuff! Gel moisturizers are my favorite, and this one has hyaluronic acid in it. Let’s not forget you get 2.3 oz of product for only $25! In the morning, my skin feels so soft. I’ve tried sleeping masks from other brands but always come back to this one. Highly recommend!

Products I Use In The Shower
Pixi Beauty Rose Cream Cleanser

My Thoughts: This is another one of those products that I’m using just to finish. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I prefer foaming cleansers. This product does not foam. I’m not entirely sure it cleanses thoroughly, but it is gentle on my skin and leaves my skin feeling smooth.
fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash
Description: A gentle exfoliating face cleanser that removes impurities and excess oil without drying while refining the look of pores for smooth, soft skin.
Claims: Lift away dirt and dullness with a daily scrub made with real strawberries and smoothing sugar crystals that melt as they polish. This gentle face wash exfoliates and cleanses all in one while smoothing the skin’s texture and maintaining its natural moisture.
My Thoughts: This product is too gentle for my liking. If you haven’t realized already, I’m an aggressive cleanser. The sugars in this product dissolve way too quickly. I can’t get to all areas of my face fast enough, and it does not smell like strawberries to me. If you’re looking for a gentle exfoliator though definitely give this a try. I need something that is going to take a layer of skin off lol!!
Miscellaneous Favorites
Clarisonic Mia Smart 3-in-1
Description: Mia Smart from Clarisonic is the award winning anti-aging and cleansing skincare device for facial cleansing and foundation removal.
Claims: Minimizing the appearance of pores and preventing blemishes, exfoliating, anti-aging skin firming, reducing under-eye puffiness, plus flawless foundation and makeup blending.
My Thoughts: It looks like I’m going to need to upgrade my Clarisonic. This new one is super fancy. There is an app, Bluetooth functionality, and all kinds of setting options. The one I’m using is super old and knock on wood is still working great! These devices are well worth the price tag. I use mine daily, and I love how clean my skin feels it’s a drastic difference from when I don’t use my Clarisonic. Either people love or hate this device. My advice to you would be to find a retailer with a good return policy just in case it’s not for you.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
Description: A transformational, lightweight makeup remover that goes from balm to oil to milk to melt away every trace of eye and face makeup and sunscreen.
Claims: This makeup remover effortlessly dissolves even the most tenacious makeup and sunscreen. Its non-greasy, non-drying, lightweight formula nourishes skin, cleanses thoroughly, and rinses off completely, so all that’s left is a fresh, dewy glow.
My Thoughts: Last but certainly not least, what initiated this whole post, this is what I use to remove my makeup. A few things to remember, I’ve always cleansed my face with my regular cleanser after I use this. This product does act as a cleanser and does leave your face feeling clean and doesn’t feel dry or oily. However, I noticed when I didn’t use my usual cleanser after using this; my eyes felt blurry. Therefore, I recommend cleansing with your regular cleanser and focusing on your eyes when cleansing. This product holds holy grail status for me. It’s the only way I’ve removed my makeup for a long time now and I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else. I only wear waterproof mascara, and this stuff melts it right off.
