Game of Thrones x Urban Decay Collection

This post contains commissionable links.

What would you do for the throne? Alright, guys, I apologize in advance to your wallet because this collection is about to blow you away! The Game of Thrones by Urban Decay Cosmetics is stunning!! The quality of all the products is on par with other Urban Decay products, and the packaging is breathtaking. I mean I’m sorry, but you’re in trouble lol!!

Urban Decay was kind enough to send me the entire collection to share with you. The collection includes an eyeshadow palette, four lipsticks, four eyeliners, a lip and cheek stain, a highlighter palette and two very different brushes. All, of course, are limited edition and are going fast!

In this post, I’ll give you information on each product, and at the end, you’ll find the look I created with some of the products as well as a video of live swatches of everything. We’ve got a lot to cover so let’s get started!

Packaging

The presentation of this PR package is all in the details. The ice overlay and the fire around the eyeshadow palette. The eyeshadow palette with the pop-up throne. I mean they thought of everything!! The packaging on the eyeshadow palette is a bit bulky, but once you see the swatches, I promise you it won’t matter. Urban Decay is offering a Vault which includes all the products in this collection housed in a beautiful collectors box.

The Eyeshadow Palette includes a total of twenty eyeshadows. The shadows are grouped into four houses, White Walkers, House Stark, House Lannister, and House Targaryen. You could create looks using each group or mix it up. The possibilities are endless. The pigment on these shadows is fantastic! You’ll have to see for yourself in the live swatch video at the end of this post. Not only do they swatch beautifully they perform just as well on the eyes. I was thoroughly impressed. Here’s a break down of all the shades with descriptions:

White Walkers
Take the Black – jet black with iridescent micro-shimmer
White Walker – blue shift
Frozen North – deep teal with iridescent micro-shimmer
Free Folk – silver metallic
Hardhome – sparkling white transformer shade

Casterly Rock – dark bronze metallic
House Lannister – peach matte
Lannister Red – burgundy brick matte
King’s Landing – pale gold transformer shade

House Targaryen
Stormborn – purple metallic with iridescent micro-shimmer

Bend the Knee – lilac with blue shift
Bay of Dragons – sparkling pink transformer shade

Eyeshadow Brushes

These brushes tho!! If you’re an avid GOT fan and lover of makeup, these are a must for your collection as a collector’s piece. In terms of functionality, I found Jon Snow’s Longclaw Large Eyeshadow Brush was a little challenging to hold and handle. However, Arya Stark’s Needle Flat Eyeshadow Brush was super easy to use and packed on shadow fabulously on the lid. If you had to pick one of the two, I would go with Arya’s. Also, does anyone else feel as though Arya is their spirit animal? #GirlPower 🙂

Personally, I’m not a massive fan of stains. However, the Dracarys Lip and Cheek Stain gives your lips or cheeks a very subtle yet beautiful flush of color. If you’re into stains, you’ll love this product.

Holy Mother of Dragons this highlighting palette is just wow! I really didn’t think it was going to be this good. Again don’t take my word for it the swatches speak for themselves. Just like the eyeshadow palette, this highlighting palette looks great on the face as well. I used Viserion in the look I created. Check it out at the end of this post. Here are the shade descriptions:

Drogon – frosted pink
Viserion – metallic golden nude
Rhaegal – metallic bronze

This collection includes four limited edition Vice Lipsticks shades. All housed in limited edition packaging. These have the same formula of the standard vice lipsticks and are one of my favorite tube lipsticks. My favorite of the four shades is White Walker. I’m sure it will get lots of use in the fall. Initially, I really liked Sansa Stark however it is a sheer formula. I wish so badly it was a matte or satin finish. Wouldn’t that have been the most beautiful nude!? If you love sheer formula’s, you’ll love it! Here are the shades along with their descriptions and formulas from left to right:

Cersei Lannister – bright metallic bronze (metallized)
Sansa Stark – warm peach nude (sheer)
Daenerys Targaryen-fiery metallic red (metallized)
White Walker – deep berry-wine (comfort matte)

Last but certainly not least we have the four limited edition 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. This waterproof formula is one of my favorites. They live up to their name, they glide on and stay put and look great on the lid and in the waterline. These four shades will complete any eye look you create with the beautiful eyeshadow palette from this collection. The shades with their descriptions from left to right are as follows:

Lannister Gold – metallic gold
Winterfell Snow – iridescent white
Dragon Smoke – smoky holographic black
The Night King – shimmery dark teal

Look I Created

Winter is here! Do I get extra credit for pulling out my faux fur vest in the 80-degree weather? Lol! Let this moment be noted if there was any question of my commitment. Yes, I have jokes. Hahaha! Ok moving on. Here is the look I created with some of the products from this collection.

I used the lipstick in Cersei Lannister. The lipstick is bomb but the character not so much. Can I get a heck ya!? In my waterline, I used the eye pencil in Dragon Smoke. This liner may very well be my new favorite. The glitter in it gives it a bit of purplish blue hue to it. Colors like navy or deep purple look fantastic on people with brown eyes. Then from the highlighting palette, I used the shade Viserion. At this angle, you can see it best down the bridge of my nose. I also used this to highlight my brow bone. On my eyes, I used the House Stark group from the eyeshadow palette. I put Nymeria in my crease and blended it up and then blended Weirwood Leaves into my crease. I used Winterfell in my inner corner, I put The Sight (my new favorite green eyeshadow) all over my lid, and finally, I added a little bit of Winter Is Here in my outer V.

Here is a list of the other products I used for this look:
