NARS Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigments

Hello hello! In today’s post, I am featuring the limited edition NARS Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigments and will be swatching all eight shades for you. These eye pigments bring all the shimmer and shine, are super pigmented, and glide on smoothly. I recommend using your fingers to apply this product. Using your fingers allows for more control since some of the shades have more substantial pieces of glitter in them, and the product is very soft. They remind me of a type of eyeshadow by an affordable line that comes in white packaging. If you know you know 😉 The texture is very much the same. They have a bounce to them like a sponge. Hopefully, that makes sense lol! Lets’s start with the packaging, and then we will get into the swatches.
Packaging
The NARS Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigments are available in eight shades. They retail for $28 each and provide 0.05 oz of product. The pigments are housed in matte black plastic circular packaging with a clear twist off lid so that you can see the shade easily.

Shade names and descriptions from top right to bottom left:
Castaway – shimmering translucent white with orange pearl
Shock ’em – shimmering pale rose
Slam – shimmering rose gold
Stricken – shimmering brown bronze
Riding High – shimmering antique green
Islamorada – shimmering turquoise
Naked City – shimmering bright cobalt blue
After I swatched everything and took all my pictures and the video you see below, I realized I forgot to open one of the boxes. Can you imagine my frustration! If you watch my Instagram stories, you got a glimpse of that frustration. I asked my IG peeps if I should start all over or just add this one beautiful shade all by it’s lonesome and the majority graciously said just to add it in. I have the best followers!! So this beauty here is called Hammered and is described as a shimmering blackened red. It is my favorite shade of the collection.
NARS describes this product as one swipe, all shine. Leave a lasting impression with an intense eye color that glides effortlessly. Sets weightlessly. Shines endlessly. Densely packed, metallic pigments build and blend smoothly, while multi-dimensional pearls reflect light from any angle for an unforgettably dramatic look. I’d have to agree!
