Fall Makeup Look | Halloween Weekend

This post contains commissionable links.

Hello hello! This past weekend I made an effort and put on some makeup in what seemed like forever. It’s crazy what a little bit of makeup can do for my mood. In today’s post, I’ll be sharing what we did over the Halloween weekend and the products I used for the perfect fall makeup look.

The Weekend

The weekend was filled with lots of family time. Friday evening, we got together at my sister-in-law’s house to say prayers and remember my dear father in law who passed away two years ago. It’s hard to believe two years have passed, but I’m so proud of the way the family has come together to honor him.

My oldest had been remembering and asking about his grandfather for weeks. It was very eerie as I’ve never told my son the date of his passing. It’s like he just knew it was coming up. Needless to say, it was a weekend full of emotions, and I’m so thankful for the Halloween festivities. We were able to get the cousins together and trick or treat. I was very unsure about how it was going to go, but it worked out fabulously! The neighborhood had baggies of candy set out on tables outside of their homes for the kiddos to grab and go. We didn’t have to knock on any doors! Some houses even had hand sanitizer set out on their tables as well. Winning!

Finally, on Sunday, we had brunch at my dad’s house. It was an emotional roller coaster ride of a weekend but super nice to see and be around family. If you’re thinking, gosh, Noosha, I’m so proud of you. You put on makeup three days in a row! That would be a huge negative! Makeup made it onto this mug only one of those days.

The Fall Makeup Look

The Perfect Fall Makeup Look

On my eyes, I used the Pixi Eye Effects eyeshadow palette in Hazelnut Haze, and I used the Nuance Quartette face palette in Sugar Blossom. Here are the shades I used in each…

Fall Makeup - Pixi Eye Effects in Hazelnut Haze

Cream (1) on my brow bone
Neutral (2) in my crease
Russet (3) all over my lid
Bark (4) in the outer v

Fall Makeup - Pixi Nuance Quartette in Sugar Blossom

Rosewood (1) to bronzer/contour
Blossom (2) for blush
Sugar (3) to highlight

Thoughts

Both of these palettes are beautiful, and I love how the look came out. The shade Russet in the eyeshadow palette is the perfect rust shade. I had to build up the shade Neutral just a tad, but other than that, the shades I used were super easy to work with. Sugar’s subtle glow in the face palette is stunning, as is the blush, and I love that the bronzing shade in this palette is a matte. It makes for the perfect contouring shade. Also, did you catch my nail polish disaster from this past weekend on Instagram stories? You guys, I had this genius idea to use glow in the dark nail polish for Halloween. It was a mess! As a result, I ended up with basic matte black nails. Make sure to follow for more craziness that is my life.
