MAC Cosmetics Patent Paint Lip Lacquer | Swatches and Review

This post contains commissionable links.

MAC Cosmetics was kind enough to send over six of the fifteen shades of their NEW Patent Paint Lip Lacquer‘s. Today I’ll be sharing a video swatching all six shades on my lips, arm swatches, and a review. MAC describes the Patent Paint Lip Lacquer as a luxuriously creamy, vinyl-effect gloss that provides instant moisturization that lasts all day, with a color payoff that never bleeds.

Packaging & Applicator

Let’s start with the packaging and applicator. The sleek new packaging features black splatter on the tubes, and the carton has the reverse effect where the splatter is the same color as the shade in the box. The doe-foot applicator picks up the perfect amount of product on both sides and makes application effortless. In the video below, you’ll see just how easy it is to apply. I didn’t use a lip liner, and even the darkest shade went on beautifully.

Final Thoughts

I was not expecting to like these. When I first saw the promo pictures, I felt the vinyl-effect was too much and not for me. However, the second I put the shade Major Glazer on, I fell in love! The glossy look is not intense at all. They’re the perfect lipstick and gloss in one. The pigmentation, as you probably saw in the video above, is crazy good. All the claims MAC makes are spot-on. They don’t bleed and are super moisturizing. Major Glazer has been on my lips every time I’ve done my makeup since I tried it. I highly recommend the new Patent Paint Lip Lacquer by MAC!

I hope you found this post helpful. Will you be giving the MAC Patent Paint Lip Lacquers a try? Have you already tried them? What do you think of the formula? What’s your favorite shade? Let’s chat in the comments below!
