The all-new NARS Afterglow Collection is now available! Included in this collection are an eyeshadow palette, cheek palette, and lip balms. In today’s post, I’ll be sharing details on each of these products and providing you with swatches. We will start with the packaging. Let’s jump right in!
Packaging
The eyeshadow and cheek palette cartons match the color of the exterior of the actual palettes. The palettes are made of sturdy plastic and have a very luxurious feel to them. You will also find a full-sized mirror inside. Can we talk about the exterior design on these palettes!? The 3D effect is spectacular! Pictures just don’t do it justice.
For the lip balms, the cartons all have labels showing the color and shade name. The actual tubes are also the same color as the shade you’d find inside. They have a very sleek feel. All the packaging has a mirror-like effect. Simply stunning!
Afterglow Eyeshadow Palette
The Afterglow Eyeshadow Palette includes 12 new shades of matte, satin, and shimmer eyeshadows in vividly warm tones. NARS has been knocking it out of the park with these 12 pan palettes. I have yet to try one I didn’t like. Below you’ll find swatches and a makeup look I created with the palette. You can find a list of all the products I used for this look here.

First Taste – shimmering pale gold
Shadow Hill – matte saddle
Hot Line – metallic tangerine
Whipped – matte warm brown
Crushed – matte apricot
Mad Love – matte peach
Push It – iridescent golden pink
Riding High – shimmering rose
Bayadere I – sparkling bronze
Trouble – shimmering coral
Deep Cut – metallic fuchsia
Guahaquil – bright metallic rust
Overlust Cheek Palette
The Afterglow Cheek Palette includes six shades, three new gel-to-powder highlighters, and three blushes. The texture of the highlighters is fascinating. They are very smooth. I found all six shades to be buildable and blend into the skin very nicely for a soft second-skin feel.

Deep Down – shimmering golden bronze
Drift – shimmering rose bronze
Let It Burn – satin soft rose
Get Lost – satin nude pink
Body Talk – satin dusty mauve
Afterglow Lip Balm
I was so excited when I saw they extended the shades for the Afterglow Lip Balms! If I’m not mistaken, the shade Orgasm was released first, and then they released a clear one with SPF, both of which I’ve been enjoying. These balms have ingredients that are supposed to provide long-lasting hydration for smooth, supple comfort and to help with protection against environmental aggressors. They glide on, are super hydrating, and give a subtle tint of color. Which color below is your favorite?
